SouthCom outage impacting non-emergency calls; 911 service remains operational

COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- Storms this week are causing issues for the SouthCom Emergency Dispatch Center of Southern Cook County.

Impacted communities include Matteson, Olympia Fields, Park Forest and Richton Park.



Some non-emergency calls, medical and fire alarms signals have been temporarily interrupted.

All 911 emergency services remain fully operational.



Crews are working to restore all communication services.
