2 seriously injured in fiery Stevenson Expressway crash on Southwest Side: CFD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were seriously injured in a fiery crash on the Stevenson Expressway on Chicago's Southwest Side on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The crash happened in the outbound lanes of Interstate 55 near Damen Avenue.



A Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said the two people injured are in serious to critical condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.



Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
