Woman hit, killed by vehicle in Streamwood: police

STREAMWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in the west suburbs on Tuesday morning, police said.

Streamwood police said officers responded to the scene at Oak Knoll Court and Williamsburg Drive just after 5 a.m.



There, officers found an unresponsive 68-year-old woman, who they say was accidentally hit by a vehicle, in the roadway.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.



Video shows several evidence markers placed on the street. Part of Williamsburg Drive is closed to traffic.
