Friday morning, police said Jeron Tate, 18, of Maywood, has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and unlawful restraint.
Tate was arrested Thursday after police said he was one of the suspects in an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store in the 3200-block of Lawrence Avenue.

After the robbery, police said another man, Alphanso Talley, was arrested and taken to Swedish Hospital for observation after Talley said he swallowed five bags of narcotics.
Police said while in the hospital, Talley pulled out a gun and shot two officers, killed Officer John Bartholomew.
