Check your shelves | Sugar cookies sold at Target recalled due to possible wood contamination

The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for frosted sugar cookies sold at Targets across the country.

The cookies were recalled due to possible wood contamination, the FDA said.

803 cases of lot 25195 were recalled across 21 states.

"Best By Date can vary as they are applied by retailer when removed from freezer," the FDA said.

The ongoing recall was initiated on July 22, 2025.



Target has not issued a statement regarding the recall.

The Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies were sold at retail stores in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, North Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia and Vermont.

So far, no illnesses have been reported.

The recall was first initiated by Canada's Give And Go Prepared Foods Corp.
