The Taste runs through Sunday, and visitors were eager to get back to the snacks and fun.
More than 40 vendors and 17 food trucks serve up dishes. Unlike in years past, there are no tickets for food at Taste. Just use cash or credit at each vendor. Admission is free.
Food options at this year's Taste of Chicago
The Taste of Chicago also means cheesecake.
Eli's Cheesecake been busy preparing this one-thousand-pound confection. Free pieces will be handed out near Buckingham Fountain Saturday.
There are also dozens of musical performances. Grammy winner Cee-Lo Green will take the main stage Friday night.
There will also be a dance stage with a wide variety of genres pumping through the speakers, including salsa, flamenco, hip-hop, bhangra, house and more.
The Taste runs from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. each day.
