CHICAGO (WLS) -- Oscar-winning filmmaker Taylord Hackford is launching his musical play "Louis & Keely 'LIVE' at the Sahara" at Chicago's Royal George Theatre.
Hackford's play tells the story of legendary showbiz duo Louis Prima and Keely Smith, who are considered the first Lounge Act in Las Vegas. They became an American musical sensation in the 1950s and '60s.
