- Sotheby's is auctioning off classic memorabilia in the first Star Wars auction in New York City until Dec. 11. Unfortunately, Sotheby's does not accept Republic credits for purchasing items.
- Mark Hamill ditched his lightsaber and dressed up as a stormtrooper to interact with guests and performers on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles.
- Good Morning America celebrated Star Wars every day this past week. One of the most memorable moments was when John Boyega did a hilarious impression of Pinocchio from Shrek.
- A father and son got some Star Wars bonding time when they set up their stormtrooper toys to make it look as if they were building a Christmas tree in this funny photo series.
- Brooklyn, N.Y. ice cream shop Ample Hills Creamery released two Star Wars-themed flavors, The Light Side and The Dark Side. Here's director J.J. Abrams with a scoop of the frozen space treat.
- A financial engineering professor at Washington University in St. Louis argued in a paper that the rebels destroying the Death Star would have lead to an economic depression across the galaxy
- Daisy Ridley posted to Instagram an image of the movie's cast on the cover of Rolling Stone.
- A new look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens will premiere Sunday night during ABC Family's Behind the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters.
- This Star Wars cake is royally awesome. A girl requested and received a specially-designed Princess Chewbacca cake for her birthday party.
