Thousands participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

CHICAGO (WLS) -- According to the American Cancer Society, approximately one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.

And then, one in 43 will die from the disease.



For 40 years, the American Cancer Society has turned breast cancer awareness into action to save lives.

Awareness starts the conversation, but action saves lives.



Thousands of breast cancer warriors, survivors and supporters gathered at Soldier Field on Saturday morning for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
