It happened on Feb. 13 at the intersection of State Route 458 and State Route 30 in Duane, New York, according to New York State Police.
Two troopers were at the intersection with their emergency lights on investigating a crash.
As they were discussing the next actions in the crash, a gray 2016 Dodge Durango comes straight toward them.
Trooper Martin's body camera footage shows the driver of the Dodge ran a stop sign, struck her and her patrol vehicle.
Police said the driver didn't see the stop sign due to sunlight impairing his vision.
"He attempted to stop and turn onto State Route 30 but was unable to do so," police said.
Trooper Martin was taken to an area hospital but is OK. She has since returned to duty.
No other injuries were reported.
It was not clear if any charges were filed.
