VIDEO: Watch a 1,200 pound pumpkin get dropped on a delivery van

Pumpkins have become quite the symbol of fall in the United States. People seem to love pumpkin spice anything and many are planing their jack-o'-lantern designs for Halloween. But the people of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania have found another way to celebrate fall with pumpkins -- by dropping an enormous one over 100 feet in the air.

Video from this year's Conneaut Lake Park Pumpkin Festival shows a 1,200 pound pumpkin being dropped over 120 feet onto a delivery van. The crowd of spectators counts down the pumpkin drop before "oohing" and "ahhing" once the giant squash squishes the van.

While no one is denying a 1,200 pound pumpkin is massive, by no means is it the largest in the U.S. This week a pumpkin at the Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival in California weighed in a 2,058 pounds.
