Video from this year's Conneaut Lake Park Pumpkin Festival shows a 1,200 pound pumpkin being dropped over 120 feet onto a delivery van. The crowd of spectators counts down the pumpkin drop before "oohing" and "ahhing" once the giant squash squishes the van.

While no one is denying a 1,200 pound pumpkin is massive, by no means is it the largest in the U.S. This week a pumpkin at the Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival in California weighed in a 2,058 pounds.
