World-renowned fashion designer Barbara Bates will host her annual Breast Cancer Awareness show "Walking the Runway for Hope."
Bates, who is a breast cancer survivor, was set to join ABC7 Chicago on Wednesday to talk about the inspiration for this year's show.
"We have something for curvy women we something for slim women we've got a lot of diversity in the fashion show," Bates said.
More than half of the models in the fashion show will be breast cancer survivors.
The show will be hosted by Sharaun, a former America's Next Top Model from cycle 11 in 2008.
For the first time the show with be at Mount Sinai Hospital which hosts the Barbara Bates Imaging Center.
"Woman are like 'I'm afraid of it, I'm afraid to get a mammogram.' What you should be afraid of is when the doctor says you are at stage four - if you had come earlier we could have done something about that," Bates said.
The show is happening on Saturday.
