Woman critically injured in possible hit-and-run on West Side, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was critically injured in a possible hit-and-run on the West Side Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

The incident took place at about 1:39 a.m. in the 3900-block of West 5th Avenue.



A person flagged officers to a 40-year-old woman lying in the middle of the street, police said.

Officers found the woman, who was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.



No one is in custody and the Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
