LYNWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in the south suburbs Monday morning, Illinois State Police said.
The crash occurred at about 12:01 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Illinois Route 394 near Joe Orr Road in Lynwood.
Police said a female pedestrian was struck and transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
All lanes were shut down and reopened at about 3:55 a.m.
