Yorkville City Council set to vote on potential data center campus proposal

YORKVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Yorkville City Council is meeting Tuesday night to discuss a proposed for a potential data center campus.

There's a request to rezone a portion of land so it could one day host a data center.



That data center failed to get the go-ahead from the city's Planning and Zoning Commission, but the City Council could still approve it in the future.

The rezoning petition is for 130 acres south of Corneils Road and east of Beecher Road.



Tuesday meeting is at 7 p.m. at Yorkville City Hall.
