Family members identified the man as Aaron Gill to ABC7. His siblings and neighbors said he was a selfless person who was well known in the community.
Family members have been cherishing their last memories with him after they just returned from a cousins fishing trip together in Wisconsin last week.
"When we were fishing, he didn't want to fish. He said he just wanted to enjoy the moment. So, he just sat there, and he just watched us the whole time. I just found it kind of strange. But, he sat there in his chair and watched us fish," said Larry Gill, the victim's cousin.
Gill's cause of death was not immediately known
