Everitt Jameson appeared in federal court in Fresno Thursday.

The defense argued he should be released under heavy supervision because he backtracked on the attack while speaking with an FBI agent who posed as a member of ISIS.

But the judge decided to keep Jameson in custody, saying he's a danger to society.
His next court date is January 5th.
