Southwest celebrates birthday with $39 fares

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Looking to get away this summer? Southwest Airlines is offering one-way fares as low as $39 as part of a nationwide sale to celebrate its 46th birthday.

But you'll have to act fast - the deals are only available now through June 15 at midnight.

While we couldn't find any flights from Midway International Airport among the rock-bottom $39 fares, sales on one-way trips to Cincinnati, Detroit, Flint, Indianapolis, Manchester (NH), Memphis, Norfolk, Oklahoma City and Providence (RI) were all under $100.

There are some restrictions. The low fares can't be used for domestic flights on Fridays and Sundays.
