NEW YORK -- When you think of the Grammys, you might imagine the glitz, glamour and gold of the music industry's biggest awards night. To the Recording Academy, however, a Grammy represents the countless individuals who keep the music industry afloat, and the artists that choose to put their music out into the world. [br /][br /]Through its second annual Grammy House pop-up in the heart of NYC, the Recording Academy sought to create an experience that facilitated community within the music industry.[br /][br /]"This pop-up hosts so many different communities," Ricky Lyon, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Recording Academy says. With events ranging from its Black Music Collective Brunch to Frecuencia Latina, Grammy House's inaugural Latin music showcase, invitees experienced two days packed with impactful and resonant programming powered by the Recording Academy's DREAM Network. [br /][br /]"It stands for 'Diversity Reimagined by Engaging All Music People'," Lyon explains. "It's The Recording Academy's way of making sure that we're representing as many people as we possibly can, because we represent music. So, we make sure that everybody sees themselves in what we are representing."[br /][br /]In addition to its exciting lineup of panels, Grammy House offered exclusive performances featuring emerging artists like Slayyyter, aLex vs aLex and Mad Tsai, as well as perks like custom cocktails presented by Patron and a Photo Booth sponsored by United Airlines. [br /][br /]Through its multifaceted itinerary, Grammy House NY serves as a unique meeting point for industry members, music artists and creative professionals alike to network and connect.[br /][br /]"You listen to music and you feel so much from it. But then you come to places like this, and you get to mingle with some of the people who made the music, who tell the stories," Lyon says. "You get to mingle with people: that might be your coworkers, or people that work in the industry. You really get to have that Recording Academy or 'Grammy' experience with different members and feel that moment of belonging."[br /][br /]The Grammy Awards will air live on ABC from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027.
