A clearly elated Dafoe could not hold back the joy from seeing the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.
Dafoe has been in over 150 films in his career and is internationally respected for the versatility and boldness of his roles. He has also been recognized with four Oscar nominations.
Friends and fellow actors Pedro Pascal and Patricia Arquette joined him at the star unveiling ceremony. Plus, current "Poor Things" co-star Mark Ruffalo was there. He joined Dafoe in the fun of getting "down and dirty" on the Walk of Fame for this meaningful event for a kid who grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin.

"It's wonderful to be part of this community of artists and entertainers," said Dafoe. "People that by sharing their experience can imagine others' perspectives, telling stories on what is, was, or most importantly could be. They make us feel closer together and connect us."
"You cannot compare his career to anyone's," said Pascal. "So it is our fortune to have him, and I am personally grateful. Thank you Willem."
His latest project, "Poor Things," which garnered two Golden Globe awards Sunday night is currently in theaters.
