CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were injured, one critically, after a fire broke out at a four-story apartment building in the city's Edgewater neighborhood, officials said.
The fire, which has been struck out, broke out in the 1000-block of W. Catalpa around 8 a.m. Sunday, officials said.
One of the injured victims is in critical condition and two others are in serious condition, officials said.
"We removed three victims, one critical and two yellow to local hospitals," said Jeffrey Horan, Chicago Fire Department. "We brought one out a window and then we brought the rest down the stairways."
No other details have been released.
