Ice jams threaten to flood suburb again

WILMINGTON, IL The Will County Emergency Operations Center reports the ice has extended upstream, Causing the water levels to rise along the river in downtown Wilmington.

Warm water from the Dresden Nuclear Power Plant is being released into the river to melt the ice.

Will County officials say the waters have started to recede in some places. But there are worries the weather in the next 24 hours could move the ice and cause a blockage.
