A teenaged driver involved in a crash that killed two of his friends is fighting efforts to charge him as an adult in the accident.

Eighteen-year-old Darius Moore of Gary faces 10 charges, including reckless homicide and drunken driving.

Brandon Smith and Dominique Green were killed in the accident last September. Their bodies were not found by police and were left at the scene for hours until they were discovered by the father of one of the victims.

If Moore is convicted in adult court he could face up to 16 years in prison.

A hearing on the prosecutor's request to charge him as an adult will be held April 29.
