Crain's: Seat licenses considered for Wrigley

Crain's Chicago is reporting that the Tribune Company, which owns the ballpark is considering selling personal seat licenses.

The one-time fee gives fans the right to buy season tickets.

The seat license idea is not a done deal, but according to Crain's, it is being considered as part of plan to sell Wrigley Field to the state of Illinois.

The revenue generated by seat licenses and skyboxes could be used to renovate the park.

A Tribune spokesperson told ABC7 Chicago personal seat licenses have never been discussed.
