Tai chi could help control diabetes

Two new studies show that tai chi exercises can improve blood glucose levels, help control of type 2 diabetes and immune system response.

A group of diabetic patients tried tai chi for 12 weeks. They lost weight, their blood pressure dropped and insulin resistance fell. The patients also said they were able to sleep better, had more energy, felt less pain and had fewer food cravings.

You can read more about these studies in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
