Young victims of street violence were remembered at a South Side prayer service Wednesday. Students, faculty and community leaders gathered at Leo high school to memorialize the 24 Chicago Public School students killed by violence so far this school year.

Leo students were joined by a group from St. Rita high school for the service.

Leo also honored area soldiers killed in Iraq by flying its school flag at half staff Wednesday.
