NU students create 'Mt. Trashmore'

EVANSTON Northwestern University students teamed up with the campus facilities team to create what they call, "Mount Trashmore." The pile of rubbish represents the amount of trash that the campus generates in just one six-hour period.

The display is on a campus lawn just off Sheridan Road.

All week, students plan to host on-campus events promoting waste reduction and recycling awareness, energy efficiency and sustainability.
