A new study finds that when men become upset and stressed out, they are more likely than women to turn to alcohol. Women are more likely to say that they feel sad or anxious.

One researcher noted that men's tendency to crave alcohol when upset may be a learned behavior or may be related to the gender differences in the reward pathways in our brains.

The study will be published in the July issue of "Alcoholism."
