Sleep impacts athletes' performance
In an ongoing study, researchers at Stanford University have been testing the impact of extra sleep on student athletes. Athletes had their sleep increased to 10 hours per day for several weeks.
Findings show their performance improved with the extra sleep.
The athletes also had less fatigue and daytime sleepiness but more energy.
