Dominick's to launch discount drug program

Dominick's will begin selling more than 300 generic prescription medications at reduced costs at 77 in-store pharmacies in the area.

Thirty-day drug supplies will be available for $4 each, $8 prescriptions for a 60-day supply and 90-day supplies will cost $12.

Dominick's is the area's second-largest supermarket chain and the only one to offer this type of drug discounts.

It is similar to one Wal-Mart introduced two years ago.
