ComEd says this is the fifth time this year its workers have been robbed despite a new that that makes an attack on a utility worker a felony.

Peoples Energy also strongly supports the new law with longer prison sentences. The company has seen a rash of attacks on employees in recent years, including one in 2005 where the worker was shot during a robbery and survived.
