Feeling stressed? Look out the window

A report in the Journal of Environmental Psychology says watching real scenes of nature can alleviate minor stress levels.

Researchers at the University of Washington tested people to see how they would react to nature outside a window or a nature scene on a high-definition TV. Those who looked at the real thing had their heart rates come down faster.

Scientists involved in the study say technology is good but we should not be fooled into thinking there's no need for direct experiences with nature.
