Police shut down drug market

Sixteen people have been charged in an undercover drug sting on the city's South Side.Chicago police discussed the results of what they call Operation Gateway Monday at 4th District Headquarters.

Police say the criminal activity was attributed to street gangs.

Along with the 16 arrests, five vehicles were seized. The third and fourth district police departments worked together in Operation Gateway.

The undercover investigation closed an open air drug market in the South Chicago District.
