Both cars then crashed in the local lanes near 63rd Street.
Police arrested two suspects. A third person fled the scene and has not been caught.
About two hours later, someone tried driving around a police barricade blocking an entrance to the Dan Ryan and struck a police car. Two officers suffered minor injuries.
All lanes have now reopened.
