Study: many moms drink caffeine during day

Caffeine works by suppressing brain chemicals that would normally make you tired.

Experts say this is one reason caffeine is addictive and stress that people can increase energy levels by getting adequate sleep-- most adults need seven to eight hours a night.

Because caffeine can stay in your system for five hours, researchers say you can fall asleep quicker by not consuming caffeine after 5 p.m.
