Scientists learning how destressing works

A report in the journal, "PLos ONE," looked at what happens chemically in the body when a patient destresses.

Researchers say the genes turned on by stress can also be turned off if the brain is allowed to relax.

The finding is drawing a mixed response with some doctors saying the study was too small to draw any conclusions.

Mind body researchers believe there are scores of disorders that can be helped with relaxation including: arthritis, infertility and insomnia.
