New way to control weight and calories

A new study finds simply writing down what you eat can help shed pounds.

The research in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine claims people who kept a food diary lost twice as much weight as other dieters.

This may work because people tend to underestimate the amount of food they eat, so putting it down on paper forces them to confront reality.

Another simple way to control weight is eating slowly.

A report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that diners were able to consume an average of 70 fewer calories when they ate slowly and chewed the food thoroughly.
