Kids with asthma and allergies might need multiple EpiPens

The EpiPen is an injection that delivers a medication called epinephrine. It's used to top anaphylaxis a severe allergic reaction that develops quickly.

A study in the journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology reveals nearly one in five food related reactions will require two or more doses of epinephrine.

Researchers say children with asthma and more than one food allergy are more likely to need the multiple doses.
