7-year-old hit in head at Wrigley stable

The incident happened Thursday at Wrigley Field in the game against the Cincinnati Reds. Cubs pitcher Ted Lilly had a check-swing foul in the second inning that 'screamed' into the stands and struck 7-year-old Dominic Diangi in the head, fracturing his skull.

Doctors placed Dominic in a medically-induced coma. Saturday, they transferred him out the intensive care unit. He is in serious but stable condition.

Dominic's doctors say there are signs he is getting better.

"On our follow up cat scans that we've done on him, he's really made a great improvement. Things look very good," said Dr. Tord Alden.

Dominic kept the ball that hit him. His father said he won't let go of it.

It was the boy's first Cubs game.
