Mayor Clay gave Jackson a key to the city. They also discussed plans for a new museum to honor the musical legend of the Jackson family. And there's talk of an upcoming Jackson family tour.
"We're working that way. I'm trying to get it to happen now and I hope everything will be successful with that because it's the right thing to do at this time," said Joe Jackson.
The city of Gary plans to unveil a new honorary street sign renaming 2300 Jackson Street where the Jackson family once lived.
