Toshiba releases player to improve DVD quality

Now Toshiba is out with a new player that improves the quality of regular DVD movies and videos.

The Toshiba XD E500 is designed to enhance the picture quality of standard DVDs more than other players currently on the market.

At about $150, it also sells for double the price of other DVD enhancing players.

However, it's still a cheaper alternative to the Blu-Ray format.
