A cemetery in west central Indiana is going green. A new section of the Spring Vale Cemetery in Lafayette will not include headstones or monuments. Instead, family members will be given GPS coordinates to locate the gravesites of loved ones.

Biodegradable caskets made from materials like bamboo and sea grass will be used.

Cemetery officials say green burials are also less expensive with some costing less than $2,000.
