Drug market shut down in Englewood

CHICAGO On Wednesday afternoon, Chicago police said they busted seven people for selling drugs at 56th and Elizabeth in Englewood.

Police pointed out the investigation, dubbed "Operation Lacka-Wanna," took place within 1,000 feet of several area schools and churches.

Undercover officers recovered a total of eight grams of crack cocaine. This is the 47th open air drug market shut down by Chicago police this year.
