It was children's audition day for the Joffrey Ballet's 21st annual production of the Christmas classic The Nutcracker.
Young dancers between the ages of eight and 14 were eligible to audition. About 120 dancers will be chosen for the cast, which will have 19 performances at the Auditorium Theatre from December 18 through December 28.
