Work on modernizing CTA train signals to improve Loop "L" service may be delayed by more than a year because of contractor issues. CTA president Ron Huberman says they are working with the vendor to reduce the delay. But the contactor, Divane Brothers Electric of Franklin Park, may require 377 more days to finish.

According to the CTA, the work is complex and this is the contractor's first major signal project. Huberman notes the project is on budget and will cost $103 million.
