Animal control workers helped the dog's owner gather all the animals in a fenced lot next door.
It's not clear exactly what may have caused the partial collapse.
Dogs rescued from building collapse on South Side
CHICAGO
It happened at a vacant garage near 57th and State Street late Thursday night. The fallen bricks and debris apparently trapped five dogs inside the building. All the dogs were OK.
