The FBI says, first, the National City Bank in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove was robbed. The suspects got away, but a state trooper spotted the getaway car on the inbound Eisenhower Expressway and gave chase.
The Chicago officer got involved at some point and was not seriously hurt in the crash.
The two offenders were caught and are in the hospital.
