Fla. men guilty in homeless man beating death

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Surveillance video of the 2006 rampage captured 21-year-old Brian Hooks and 19-year-old Thomas Daugherty repeatedly hitting one of the victims. The footage caused national outrage in the homeless community.

Hooks and Daugherty were found guilty Friday of second-degree murder and two counts each of attempted second-degree murder with a weapon.

Prosecutors say 45-year-old Norris Gaynor was sleeping on a park bench when the men, who were teenagers at the time, attacked him and beat him to death.

A third teen pleaded guilty in May to felony murder and aggravated assault and is awaiting sentencing.
