Woman released from prison

A woman who spent the past three years in prison for a 2005 crash that killed three people was to be released Thursday. She is being let go five years early. Jeanette Sliwinski, 26, was trying to commit suicide when she crashed into a car carrying three Chicago musicians. She was found guilty, but mentally ill of reckless homicide and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Because of Illinois sentencing laws, Sliwinski's prison time was cut in half. She is also getting credit for good behavior and counseling while in prison.

Sliwinski will spend a year on parole.
