A West Chicago man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman -- then returning to her home to apologize. Salvador Alvarado allegedly entered the victim's home last month and attacked her.

Alvarado reportedly apologized afterwards and told the woman he loved her. He was arrested when he returned to the home around 2 a.m. Thursday morning.

Prosecutors explain that if his apology was accepted Alvarado hoped to have further intimate relations with the woman.

Alvarado is charged with sexual assault and home invasion.
